The company was formed and registered in August 2005. The name was derived from the two names of the owner, Robert & John who operates from a office in Monte Video in the Cape.

John Robert has over 30 years experience in the Tele-Communications field before embarking on a new journey. JohnRobbie Tours is networked to a larger group of legal and qualified operators should additional transport be required for a larger group of guests.

The business operates two vehicles, one which is a 2003 VW Microbus seating 8 people and the other is a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Both vehicles are fully Air Conditioned and has a Passenger liability cover up to 5 million rand per vehicle. The Microbus also has Audio Visual Displays (DVD)
